Here are some more examples and samples of ongoing works.
The following work was commissioned by Kilkenny County Council.
The mural depicts the main development of Woodstock Gardens during the Victorian Period (late 19th century)
with the works being overseen by Lady Louisa Tighe nee Lennox and head gardeners, Pierce Butler and later
Charles McDonald.
The house, arboretum, walled garden, yew walk, rose garden, dovecote, fountain, Monkey Puzzle and Noble Fir Avenue are all included within the design.
With gratitude to
Kilkenny County Council, and all the staff at the garden for making this happen.
Also Roundtower lime, Cork www.roundtowerlime.com for their great service, supply and advice on the lime products required to stabilise the wall prior to painting the mural.
The following pictures show the progress of the work
Work begins after sealing the lime wash wall and painting out the old mural.
